I love to keep in touch with my readers – sign up for my newsletter (on the contact page by clicking on the newsletter icon on the bottom left) and receive a free short story, as well as being kept up to date on my new books, events where you can meet me in person, and other news.

The story, Barkinji, is about Cecilia Carter, Ruby’s mother from The Soldier’s Wife.  She was a character who really interested me, and I wrote the story to find out how she became such a strong and insightful woman.

After you put in your email, you’ll be sent a confirmation email with a link to the story.  You can expect to receive a newsletter a few times a year (depending on how much news I have!), but if you want to stay in closer touch, you can follow my blog, or follow me on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest.

Thanks again for your time and your help.

  2. Hi Pamela
I just completed creative writing stage 1 with you. I wanted to ask about next steps. I want to write short stories based on real events that have happened either from a photo or a memory maybe more as a narrative. Is that memoir writing or creative non-fiction?
I would much appreciate your input.
    Thank you.
